Emerging from the shadows of the Golden Gate Bridge, this iconic route averages 100+ miles per day. Follow the rugged California coastline from San Francisco to Santa Barbara: open grasslands, scalloped peaks, timbered slopes, the fragrant vineyards of the Central Coast. Tackle Figueroa Mountain, the demanding Euro-climb in the heart of the Santa Ynez wine country, an epic route that challenged Lance and Team Discovery as they trained each spring for the Tour de France. Finish off with a toast at a secluded beach as the sun sinks into the Pacific. 

Our guests are on day two of this 4 day bike tour.  The first day, they rode 135 miles and climbed 7000 ft on the San Francisco to Monterey leg of this bike tour on the coast of beautiful California.

Today's leg takes them from Monterey to Morrow Bay using some of the most challenging roads a bike tour can throw at you.  Bicycle Adventures never skimps on the riding and always delivers!  Everyone is having a blast and the Epic brand is living up to its name with 105 miles.

The riders are making their way down the coast on a beautiful 102 miles into Solvang with the grand finally coming on Thursdays epic bike tour route.   

Thursday includes Figueroa Mountain: 3,900' of climbing, a 9% grade and the ghosts of Team Discovery. Panoramic views of the Santa Ynez Valley and the blue, blue Pacific, and a champagne toast at Jalama Beach, to complete the San Francsico to Santa Barbara Epic Tour.
